On Monday, February 3, 2025, age 88 of Carnegie, PA, joined her husband, Robert W. as well as two of her sons, Robert (Selma survives) and Steven (late Theresa) Scarfone in heaven. Daughter of the late Edward and Helen Bannon; loving mother of Rene (Donald) Palmer, Sharon (Edward) Lisowski, Dennis (Renae) Heasley; grandmother of Kristopher (Stephanie) Scarfone, Danielle (Matthew) Littlejohn, Mark (Kristy) Palmer, Matt (Emily) Palmer, Ashley (Ryan) Tilebein, Karri (Steve) Jacobs, Mandy (Justin) Lisowski, Shane Lisowski, Amy (Brad) Mocniak, Sabrina (Adam) Trautski, Steve Scarfone, Jeremiah (Jamie) Heasley, and the late Anthony Scarfone; sister of Dorothy Hirt and the late Phyllis Wallberg and Edward (Joan survives) Bannon; also survived by numerous great and great-great grandchildren and generations of nieces and nephews.

Hon, Jo or Josie as she was often referred to died peacefully in her sleep. Jo was a homemaker and loved shopping, playing cards and spending time with her family. She was a lover of animals, and enjoyed life to the fullest. She will be missed by many.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the SZAFRANSKI-EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., where family and friends will be received on Saturday, February 8, 2025 from 2pm until time of Service at 5:30pm at 101 Third St., Carnegie. Josephine will be buried with her husband, Robert, in The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 1pm.
