On Friday, January 31, 2025, after a brave and courageous battle with cancer. Son of the late Edward and Joline Cherosky; beloved husband for 50 years of Janet (Murdaca) Cherosky; loving father of Jason Cherosky (Michael Alagich) and Jeremy (Leanne) Cherosky; proud grandfather of Briella, Melaina, and Holden Cherosky; brother of Jeffrey (late Debbie) Cherosky and the late Bruce Cherosky; son in law of Eve and the late Bruno Murdaca; brother in law of Mark (Martha) Murdaca, Marcia (Joe) Osterman, Donna (Herman) Herleman, Gina (John) Drobycki, and the late Janice Murdaca; also survived by generations of nieces and nephews.

Ed was proud to serve his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force, stationed in Alaska. After the completion of his service, he was employed as a paint chemist for Atomized Materials, Inc., in Cecil, PA for 56 years. Ed loved anything and everything involving cars. He enjoyed drag racing and working on cars. Ed could often be found out in the garage restoring and fixing cars that he would then sell. His hands were more often black from grease than not. He enjoyed collecting records, especially the oldies. Above all, Ed was a family man. He cherished his time with Janet, his kids, and grandchildren.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the SZAFRANSKI-EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., where family and friends will be received on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, from 3-7pm at 101 Third St., Carnegie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Corpus Christi Parish, Holy Child Church on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 12:45pm. Burial will follow with full military honors in The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
