On Wednesday, October 23, 2024. Daughter of the late Stella and Stanley Starczewski; wife of the late Ronald West; loving mother of Sasha (Steven) Schiavone; proud grandmother of Isabella Schiavone; doggy mommy to the late Pip, who passed away a few short months ago; also survived by many dear friends.

Shirley was an amazing daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. She lived for her family and would do anything for them. Shirley dedicated her life to being a wonderful mom and always put Sasha first. Her granddaughter, Isabella, was truly the light of her life and she always reminded Isabella how much she loved her. Shirley was so proud when she and her beloved cousin, Mary Ann Warholak, would go together to see Izzy cheerlead or sing at the school Christmas concert. Shirley had several cousins and neighbors she was very close to and talked to on the phone daily, and she cherished those conversations. Shirley was a lifelong member of the All Saints Polish National Catholic Church in Carnegie and enjoyed attending Mass with her daughter and granddaughter. Although Shirley will be missed terribly, knowing she was welcomed to Heaven's gates by her parents and husband brings comfort.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the SZAFRANSKI-EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., where family and friends will be received on Sunday, October 27, 2024, from 2-5pm at 101 Third St., Carnegie. A Blessing Service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, October 28, 2024 at 11:00am. Following the Blessing Service, Shirley will be laid to rest next to her husband, Ronald, in All Saints P.N.C. Cemetery.
