Barbara J. (Adams) Glatz

July 29, 1941

June 22, 2024

Age 82, of North Huntingdon, formerly of Scott, passed away June 22, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Ethel Adams. She is survived by her children Rebecca (Barry) Woods and Byron Glatz, her grandsons Connor (Sanna) and Cameron, siblings Veronica Purdy, Jimmy (Carol) Adams, and Don (Kathy) Adams.

Barbara was an exemplary mother and human being. She embodied the best of qualities: unconditional love, strength of character, and an unshakeable, selfless spirit of generosity that could be seen in her care for her children and grandchildren.

She spent the majority of her career as an executive assistant to the superintendent at Mayview State Hospital, and happily retired in 2003.
She then moved from Scott to North Huntingdon to spend time with her grandsons. She so enjoyed attending all of their school and extracurricular activities. She also spent her well deserved leisure time at her favorite slot machines at the casino, enjoying her garden and sitting in her rocking chair on her back porch.

The void in our lives at her passing is incalculable and anyone who knew her will remember her and automatically smile.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the SZAFRANSKI-EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., where family and friends will be received on Sunday, June 30, 2024, from 2-6pm at 101 Third St., Carnegie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in All Saints P.N.C. Church on Monday, July 1, 2024, at 11:00am. Following Mass, Barbara will be laid to rest in All Saints P.N.C. Cemetery.
