Passed away at UPMC Mercy on Thursday, December 5, 2024, after a short illness. She was born June 1, 1931 in Newark, NJ to the late Raymond & Dorothea Wippert. She married to the love of her life, the late Franklin M. Boyer, Sr. in 1949. She raised 3 sons, Dr. Franklin M. Boyer, Jr. (Judith) of Lakewood Ranch, FL, Raymond L. Boyer (Cathy) of Marietta, GA, and Robert W. Boyer (Sue) of Ingram, PA. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren (Jason (Katherine), Jarred (Karin), Jenae (Indra), Jessica (John), Emma (Patrick), Taylor (Daniel) & Martin (Amy)), 9 great-grandchildren (Ryan (Bella), Hannah, Ava, Ella, Grayson, Hudson, Asher, Rowan & Xander) & 1 great-great-grandson (Max).

She was retired from both RCA in Newark, NJ and Weight Watchers International, in the Poconos. She moved to Pittsburgh to be near family 8 years ago and was a resident of The Willows in McKees Rocks, PA. Jayne was a strong woman who believed in female empowerment and fought for years for women’s rights. She always believed in volunteering, doing so for the Town of Irvington, NJ in many aspects as well as for the local hospital. She was well loved and will be missed by all she touched.

The family would like to thank the staff of The Willows and the nurses and staff at UPMC Mercy ICU, Floor 10 and Hospice for all their care and concern for Jayne.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the SZAFRANSKI-EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC.

Services will be private with burial at Bethlehem memorial Park in Bethlehem, PA.
