From Matt & Dana…

Our mother was an amazing woman and a fantastic mother. I’m sure that everyone reading this was touched by her life in so many ways. She was a very giving person and cared for others deeply. She always brought life to a party and made things fun. She saw the good in everyone and people were always drawn to her.

She dedicated much of her life to her family whether it was:
• supporting her sister and mother through their last months,
• ensuring we could have good childhoods,
• taking us and our cousins/friends on fun outings as kids, and
• helping us throughout our adult lives in so many ways

Much of this came as a surprise about 6 months ago when she wasn’t feeling well, and we got involved in helping her through the healthcare system getting to a diagnosis of terminal stage 4 cancer about 3 months ago. At that point, she moved in with her son (Matt) and we got to enjoy the final days with her.

About a week before she passed, we had to move her to a skilled nursing home for 24/7 care. She passed there on Thursday, at 1:45 p.m. Dana was at her side, and she died peacefully.

We are so happy she is in peace, and we are hoping she found Red (her mother) and Mary Lou (her sister). We are sure they are at the casino in heaven right now listening to Polkas and enjoying each other’s company as they did for decades.

Mom, we love you and are happy you are in peace. We will stick together, take care of each other and we are okay.

We are not planning to have public services as we are exhausted and would prefer to celebrate her life. We are considering a celebration of life sometime in the Spring/Summer of 2022.

Thank you all for taking the time to remember and pray for Jane!
