.

A proud Catholic woman of Irish heritage, Pat was married to her best friend, Norby for 59 years. Lifelong residents of Glendale, she raised three children: Michael, PJ, and Cyndi. She was a loving mom proud to share her children’s accomplishments to anyone who would listen. She was especially pleased that each served their country in the U.S. military; but missed them dearly when away from the roost. She was also an endearing grandmother to Nicholas and spoiled him as much as she could.

Pat expressed her artistic nature through arts and crafts, crochet, macrame’, and baking. She was the one who completed most of her children’s art projects in grade school! Polish by marriage, she quickly learned to master Polish and Slovak cooking, including pierogies and nut rolls. You didn’t have to look very hard for Pat as she was usually in the kitchen preparing a family meal or trying out some new recipe.

An avid sports fan, she watched the Steelers every Sunday and bragged that her mother fitted Terry Bradshaw for a suit at Joseph Horne’s Company. She knew more baseball statistics than Bob Prince and could hold her own during any sports talk. She was a card shark and enjoyed the company of her card club friends and was usually the one to come home with the kitty! She also enjoyed friendships from her bowling club over the years.

Intelligent and articulate, Pat graduated St. Luke’s High School. Financially unable to attend college, she worked numerous jobs to ensure her children had every opportunity possible. She worked at a factory, a grocery store, and advanced to an administrative assistant at R.W. Hunt Company, Red Valve Company, and UPMC Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic. Although she worked outside of the home, she always put her family first, maintained an immaculate home, and made sure her family always had dinner together every day possible. When her children were younger, she was intimately involved as: President of the St. Ignatius PTA, “cub-mother” for a small group of gregarious cub-scouts, and basketball/little-league/softball mom toting her kids to games and practices.

On Friday, June 19, 2020, with her family by her side. Beloved wife of 59 years to Norbert Sikorski; loving mother of Michael (Margie), Patrick "PJ" (Sharlene) and Dr. Cynthia (Tracy) Sikorski; proud grandmother of Nicholas Sikorski; sister of William Crawford.

She was a woman of strong conviction who loved her family, her faith, her friends and her community. She is dearly missed.

As per Pat's wishes, there are no public visitations.

Contributions in her name may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 112 Washington Place #1520 Pittsburgh, PA 15219.

Family and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at 10 a.m.
