Age 93, of Carnegie, passed away peacefully on May 4th, 2020. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Loretta V. Funari; loving father of Gary (Debbie) Funari, Nancy (Mike) Fanning and Tina (Bob) Seybold; Pap to Brooke (Tom) Duff and Lauren Funari, Nick and Kristen Fanning, Alexa and Morgan and great granddaughter, Bella Seybold; he is also survived by other great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Leonard and John Funari; and a sister, Mary Rodgers.
Ed worked at General Electric and later retired from the staff of Mayview State Hospital. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Ed’s passions were cooking, gardening and volunteering. He was a very kind and generous person who loved spending time with family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him.
Ed’s family would like to thank the staff of Artis Senior Living and Amedisys Hospice for their loving care, and who offered support during a difficult time.

Due to the current restrictions, funeral arrangements are private. Burial took place in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
